In this behind the scenes video, Troy, Simon and Ray sit down with our guest Adam Jelic, founder of MiGoals, to talk about their thoughts on goal setting. Adam’s company MiGoals produces goal setting stationery to guide you through the goal-setting process week by week until it becomes a ritual.

Troy talks about how he travels a lot and has tried to use his iPad for his to-do list and his goal setting, but he always comes back to using the physical piece of paper and pen. There’s something tactical about it and it is dedicated solely to the goals whereas you can get distracted on the iPad.
Troy also tells us about how he sees a pattern within some of our Mastermind members where they feel paralysed about setting goals because they don’t want to set themselves up for failure. For Troy, the whole point of having a goal is having something to move towards. He says that the purpose isn’t achieving the goal, the purpose is to go on the journey so he can learn about himself, his team and his customers while he is trying to achieve something.
If you don’t have a goal, you're not trying to achieve anything and you're not coming across any obstacles. Therefore, you aren't challenging yourself and you don’t learn anything.
You may miss the goal, but what have you learnt along the way?
