Number seventy-four: Embed A Welcome Video

Number 74: Embed a welcome video on your client's WordPress dashboard. So, we use our free white labeled CMS plugin to customize the dashboard quite heavily. We remove all the standard WordPress panels that they don't need to know about and we replace them with a welcome panel, the Google Analytics panel and an RSS feed which I'll show you in another video.
In the welcome panel we make a generic welcome video and we host that on VIMEO [SP] and then we use the iFrame code from VIMEO and we embed that in the welcome panel. The video just says, hey, welcome to your new website. Just thought I'd show you around the dashboard here and show you how it works. The first thing you want to do is go to the side bar on your left here and click on the manual link and go and watch all the videos. Those videos will show you how to use your website and how to manage the content.
To my left here you'll see your Google Analytics data that will show you how many people are visiting your website as tracked by Google and below this video is the latest articles from our blog which will give you free online marketing tips and tricks. It's a lovely way to welcome them to their website and every time they log in they see you and they see your brand and it keeps you top of mind while with your client and it's a really professional hand over.
