Number twenty: Record Meetings
Good day, I'm Troy Dean, from Video User Manuals and Agency Mavericks and this is the 101 Ways to Elevate Yourself and Demand Higher Fees, a practical guide to Word Press Consultants to start attracting better quality clients, work on better more interesting projects, and get paid better fees. Now, let's go elevate.
Number 20, record meetings. That's right, leave your smartphone on during an initial client meeting and record it. Say to the client, “Hope you don't mind, but, I'd love to record this meeting so that nothing falls through the cracks later on. Truth is, people zone out during meetings. I will, you will, and we'll forget what we've spoken about. What I'd love to do is keep a recording of this so I can refer back to it afterwards and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.”
No one is doing this, it's going to be a point of difference, it's going to show them that you care about the quality of this meeting, because you don't want anything to fall through the cracks, and that you care about getting them the right outcome. That's going to totally help you stand out from the average web designer, is the whole point of this, and it's actually really useful to have a recording of the meeting on file, anyway.
In the next episode, I'm going to tell you what to do with that recording, and I'm going to show you and explain to you the number one email you should send your new client, or your new prospect after your initial client meeting. It's probably not the email you think it is. Make sure you check out the next episode of this podcast and until then, go elevate. Make sure you subscribe to 101 Ways podcast in the Itunes store.
